Compass traverse undertaken in 1930-31 to investigate a course for a motor road. Covers a 150-mile route from Dangila north-westwards to Gallabat to a width of approximately 15 miles. Portrays hydrology, relief by form lines, hachures and spot heights, triangulation points, roads and tracks, settlements, churches, place names and the expedition route, and includes topographical notes.A compilation note describes the surveying contribution of M. D'Abbadie.The sheet bears the note 'Sudan Survey Dept., Khartoum Topo. No. S.488 July 1931.'
